I have been lucky to be able to organise my own pop-up and supper club events at the beautiful space that is Bread & Butter in London’s buzzing Shoreditch. For each event, I curate an all vegan five course set menu, celebrating seasonal ingredients when possible to create a sustainable and enjoyable eating experience.

For the last couple of events, we have made a point to seat guests together at big tables to allow them to interact and spark connections with other attendants, making it a great experience for anyone who wants to meet new people and explore what London has to offer.

Furthermore, I have made a point to use these events as a way to give back and support important causes. You will see that with each event, a certain percentage of ticket sales will be donated to a charity. In view of the ongoing genocide in Palestine, I have dedicated these donations to UNICEF’s Save The Children Gaza Crisis Appeal in my events so far. I appreciate the opportunity to use my skills as a chef to do good and support charities and families in Gaza. It can sometimes be difficult to see how we can use our work and talents to help others, and so I am grateful for all the guests and their support in these endeavours.

Organising and hosting these events has allowed me to embrace my own creativity when it comes to preparing, cooking, and plating dishes, and to apply what I have learned about food and cooking over the years. It has further enabled me to meet and connect with people, which - as someone who is still fairly new to London - has made me feel more settled and at home. And seeing my guests connect and enjoy themselves on these evenings has been a great source of joy and pride.

I thank Bread & Butter for seeing the potential in my work to allow me to organise these events, their continued support in letting my creativity run free and enabling me to successfully host my supper clubs.
